Bubble up your milk
Milk is an essential part of the diet of every child. It provides nine key nutrients which play an important role in growth and development during childhood. Since chocolate or fruit shakes are more or less common now and have lost their appeal, mothers are seeking other exciting recipes to incorporate milk in their children’s’ diets. One such recipe is bubble or ‘boba’ milk. A derivative of the Taiwanese Bubble tea, bubble milk is flavored milk with cooked tapioca pearls in it. The chewy tapioca pears are sweet and add to the overall flavor and texture of the drink.
To make bubble milk you’ll need milk, sugar, and tapioca pearls. You can also add fresh fruits or syrups to the mix to give it a little twist. For a delicious glass of bubble milk, cook the tapioca pearls in boiling water till they become transparent and don’t stick together. Once cooked, drain the water and set them aside to cool while you prepare the milk. Add sugar to milk and then blend in your favourite syrup or fruits into the mix. Scoop a spoonful of tapioca pearls into a tall glass and pour the milk on top, serve chilled.
